Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to a three vehicle accident this afternoon, at approximately 2:30, at the intersection of Highway 369 and Yellow Creek.
Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a white Chrysler automobile had left the highway and went down an embankment. The female driver, who appeared to be in her 40s, was in critical condition. A small boy, around two to three years of age, received bump on his head but was talking to EMTs and paramedics. A white Chevrolet truck also went down an embankment on the opposite side of the road. The male driver was able to get out of the truck and walked to a nearby ambulance. His son was placed on a backboard and was also taken to the ambulance. All the injured were taken to North Fulton Hospital to be treated or evaluated.
A black Ford pick-up truck was also involved, but the male driver was not injured. A transfer truck went off the highway to miss the accident and was not damaged, however, the truck got stuck and had to have assistance to be removed.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is investigation the cause of the accident.
