Apparently, a Chevy S-10 pickup truck left the highway, went down an embankment and struck some trees.  According to Battalion Chief, Shane West, the driver of the vehicle, a 27 year old female, was entrapped and had to be extricated from the vehicle.  The driver had abdominal pain and also had injuries to her left arm and leg.  She was life-flighted to Atlanta Medical Center in stable condition.

No other injuries were reported and no other vehicles were involved.  Both lanes of 108 were blocked until the operation was complete.  The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.
